York countians love to eat. Any it’s not just Pennsylvania Dutch Food. Our love for seafood signals our proximity to the Cheasapeake Bay at the Atlantic Ocean. So this mammoth oyster was added in West York to the pickles, cigars, white roses, wrenches and other such symbols of towns dropped in the York County region to signal the start of the New Year.
